Cymbidium

With over 50 years breeding and cultivating only the very best varieties, our laboratory ensures we grow only premium show quality cymbidiums with consistency. Each plant can have up to fifteen or more, large waxy textured flowers, blooming during the winter, and lasting ten weeks on the plant or up to 4 weeks as a cut flower. The colors range from white, green, yellowish-green, cream, yellow, mocha, pink, burgundy, orange, and markings of other color shades.

Phalaenopsis

Phalaenopsis, also known as moth orchids, ship easily and require little care. The potted orchid market is growing and Gallup and Stribling Orchids leads with experience. The seasonally dry and cool beachside environment give us an advantage over most growers, even in our own local Carpinteria, CA market.

Gerbera

Gerberas with their colorful multi petals, intrigue centers, and long thick stems are a crowd favorite used as cut flowers. These daisy shaped blooms are grown in a variety of sizes and colors. Colors include; coral, orange, hot pink, white, yellow, red. Bicolor gerberas display multiple colors within one flower. Westland Floral Company greenhouses located in Carpinteria, California are ideal for perfect growing conditions for strong vibrant gerberas.

Airplants

Tillandsias, also known as airplants, are amazing small plants that do not need soil to grow. Each leaf on the air plant is covered in specialized scales known as trichomes, which have the ability to absorb water and nutrients. Airplants love indirect light and humidity. They thrive in rainforests on but will live happily and bloom beautifully while enhancing potted gardens, attached to piece of driftwood, placed in a seashell or in an aerated glass globe.

Succulents

Succulents are drought tolerant plants that can be grown indoors or out depending on climate. Most succulents hold moisture in their thick leaves and stems which allows little maintenance and water. Most succulents will bloom in their lifetime. They enjoy very bright light and need a soil high in coarse sand for good drainage.

Poinsettia

The poinsettia is a high demand seasonal product that requires decades of experience to precisely time the color change (photoperiodism) and deliver fresh to a large number of nation-wide grocers. In the United States, December 12 is National Poinsettia Day. The star-shaped leaf pattern is said to symbolize the Star of Bethlehem, and the red color represents the blood sacrifice through the crucifixion of Jesus.
